Description |
White envelope. Artist drawings of the deer head, pelican, sea turtle, and alligator mask figureheads for the Key Marco archeological site are hand drawn in black pen and painted in watercolor on the envelope. The artist's signature is in the bottom left corner of the envelope and appears to be "Karoline Remmick." Four lines and "First Day Of Issue" stamped on the proper left side over the postage stamp. Postmark on the right reads "San Juan. PR Oct 12 1989 00936." Color stamp in the proper left top corner of the Key Marco cat artifact with a blue background. Text on the stamp reads "USAirmail 45, Puas, America, Southeast carved figure, A.D. 700-1450." The artist has the stamped and numbered the back of the envelope. The stamp reads, "Karoline's Cachets, 4 of 30." |
