Description |
Golf scorecard from the Marco Island Country Club signed at the 1977 Tony Lema Memorial Tournament. Signatures on the inside include Mickey Mantle, Joe DiMaggio, James Garner, Gordon MacRae, Johnny Unitas, and Perry Como [?]. Folds in half. Outside features two color pictures. One of two men putting with houses in the background; text in the proper left bottom corner reads "Marco Island Country Club, Marco Island, Florida 33937." Other picture is of Gene Sarazen on the golf course leaning against a golf club. Sarazen is wearing a white shirt, red shorts, and a white hat. Water, a bridge, and houses in the background. Text in the proper left bottom corner reads "Gene Sarazen on the eigth tee of the Marco Island Country Club course, home of the annual Tony Lema tournament. Gene is chairman of the golf committee and a resident of Marco Island." Opposite side includes color drawings of each golf hole with a table indicating "Hole, Par, Ladies', Handicap, Men's, Handicap, Championship." |
