Black and white aerial Deltona promotional photographic print of the Marco Islander catamaran on Marco Island waters. Deltona model home visible on the shore behind the boat. Numbered 84 on the back. Attached promotional caption from the Public Relations Department of Marco Island Development Corp. reads: "Sporting two authentically designed Hawaiian War God heads, a Seminole Indian thatched roof, and a bright Polynesian color scheme, the "Marco Islander" catamaran cruises a capacity load of 30 passengers along the bulkheaded waterways on Marco Island, Florida. The island, under development as a planned waterfront community for resort and leisure living by Florida's famous Mackle Brothers, is 26 miles south of Naples on the Gulf of Mexico. The 40-ft. Polynesian craft, which makes daily sightseeing voyages on Marco River and the miles of waterways laced throughout the island, is twin Perkins deisel powered, with outdrive units, and can do 18 knots at full throttle." |
