Description |
Black and white photographic print of the Royal Palm Station at Royal Palm Hammock. The station has a rectangular Gulf Oil sign above the door and a circular Gulf Oil sign above the gas pumps. A man and a woman are walking toward the station. A sign is partially visible in the proper right foreground with the Coca-Cola logo and "Restaurant." Two of Meese Ellis' tourist cabins are visible in the background behind the fueling station. "JUL 58" printed on the top of the photograph. Paperclipped to the photograph is a typed description by William Morris Harper, Jr. that reads: "This modern and now busy corner at Royal Palm Hammock was carved from a wilderness by hard working Mr. and Mrs. Meese Ellis." |
