Black and white photographic print of Mr. and Mrs. Meese Ellis in front of the Royal Palm Station at Royal Palm Hammock. The open sign and Ladies rest room sign are visible. Meese is wearing a ball cap, white shirt, and light pants with his arms behind his back, and Mrs. Ellis is wearing a sleeveless dress with buttons up the front. "JUL 58" printed on the right side of the photograph. Paperclipped to the photograph is a typed description by William Morris Harper, Jr. that reads: "Hard working Mr. and Mrs. Meese Ellis. From a wilderness they have together built the beautiful corner at Royal Palm Hammock." |
